I’m Sean, a designer exploring sustainability and visualization in architecture.

I am an architectural designer finishing my bachelors of architecture at the Hillier College of Architecture and Design, minoring in environmental studies and sustainability. I have a strong interest in blending sustainable architecture practices, architectural visualization, and planning to create compelling, human-focused projects. I had the chance to study abroad in Scandinavia, learning about their vernacular architecture, the careful attention to detail and materiality in their architecture and their focus on public transportation at an urban design level. At NJIT, I have been involved in multiple organizations, including the AIAS Learning Culture Committee, the school’s Learning and Teaching Culture Committee, and the AIAS NJIT Freedom by Design committee, where I have worked on a design-build parklet and a semester-long course teaching local middle school students about architecture and design. Relevant coursework includes: life cycle assessment in design, passive house, sustainability policy & practice, sustainable materiality, and morphology and typologies of urban housing.

I have interned with DIGroupArchitecture in New Brunswick during breaks from school over the past three years, assisting with Academic, Community/Civic, and Healthcare projects ranging from single room renovations to multi-building master plans across all phases of design and construction. I have worked on projects with clients such as NYC SCA, NJSDA, Rowan University, Montclair University, Union County NJ, Ewing Township, Long Branch, Philadelphia Rebuild Program, Rutgers University, Hackensack Meridian Healthcare, and Virtua Health.

In my free time, I like to spend time outdoors with my family and dogs, Lucky and Lucy. I enjoy camping, biking, hiking, and kayaking during the summer, and hiking and skiing in the winter. I also have three cats, who constantly beg me for treats. I like to rock climb at my local gym, and I am slowly building up to climb outdoors. I take every opportunity to travel that I can and hope to visit every National Park.
